Mo is a 12-year-old boy with red hair who lives with his grandpa. He loves hot dogs, board games and going on adventures. One hot summer day, Mo is bored at home. He looks around his grandpa’s study. He finds a big box made of wood which has lots of old books in it. Inside one book there is a map of a forest from 1795. It has a big ‘X’ on it. Mo shows his grandpa, who says it’s a treasure map. Excited, Mo runs to show his best friend, Millie, who has the same birthday. After packing their bags, they go into the big, dark forest to find the treasure. They get lost. To get home, they need to climb Gold Mountain, solve puzzles and run from monsters trying to eat them.
When summer comes, everyone goes down to one of Switzerland’s many lakes to escape the heat and cool off. Swimming is most popular, but many people like to hire a boat and go sailing as well. If you prefer something a little easier or are travelling with small children, there’s often the option of boating instead. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon.Of course, there’s more to Switzerland than just nature. Old towns such as Bern, Lucerne and Lausanne are excellent spots for sightseeing, and there is great food, shopping and museums in the cities of Zurich and Geneva.
Where is my teddy bear?I can’t find it anywhere.In the box?In the box?No, it’s not there…Where is my teddy bear?I can’t find it anywhere.On the table?On the table?No, it’s not there…Where is my teddy bear?I can’t find it anywhere.Under the chair?Under the chair?Oh, yes, it’s there!
Not until you realize that life itself is a beautiful thing will you really start to live. Although living combines tragedy with splendor, life is beautiful and even tragedies reflect something engaging. If you were simply to live, do more than that; live beautifully. Through the sea of darkness, hope is the light that brings us comfort, faith, and reassurance. It guides our way if we are lost and gives us a foothold on our fears. The moment we lose hope is the moment we surrender our will to live. We live in a world that is disintegrating into a vicious hatred, where hope is needed more than ever but cannot be discerned. Finding that is rare while the world lives in fear, but the belief in something better, something bigger than this, is what keeps life worth living. Then you hear a baby speaking her first word, you see seniors holding hands, you feel the first spring rain, or smell the pine tree at Christmas, and remember that no matter how awful it is, there is always hope. No matter how weak we are, we will always survive.
A friend walks in when the rest of the world walks out. Sometimes in life, you find a special friend, someone who changes your life just being part of it; Someone who makes you laugh until you can’t stop; Someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world; Someone who convinces you that there really is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it. This is forever friendship. When you’re down, and the world seems dark and empty, your forever friend lifts you up in spirits and makes that dark and empty world suddenly seem bright and full; Your forever friend gets you through the hard times, the sad times, and the confused times. If you turn and walk away, your forever friend follows; If you lose your way, your forever friend guides you and cheers you on; Your forever friend holds your hand and tells you that everything is going to be ok. And if you find such friend, you feel happy and complete, because you need no worry, you have a forever friend for life, and forever has no end.
I like to eat cakes,And ice-cream and candy.I like to eat cakes,Yummy, yummy, yummy!I like to drink juice,Apple juice, orange juice.I like to drink juice,And milk and tea.
I will persist until I succeed. The prizes of life are at the end of each journey, not near thebeginning; and it is not given to me to know how many steps are necessary in order to reach my goal. Failure I may still encounter at the thousandth step, yet success hides behind the next bend in the road. Never will I know how closeit lies unless I turn the corner. Always will I take another step. If that is of no avail I will take another, and yet another. In truth, one step at a time is not too difficult. I will persist until I succeed. Henceforth, I will consider each day's effort as but one blow of my blade against a mighty oak. The first blow may cause not a tremor in the wood, nor the second, nor the third. Each blow, of itself, may be trifling, and seem of no consequence. Yet from childish swipes the oak will eventually tumble. So it will be with my efforts of today. I will be likening to the raindrop which washes away the mountain; the ant who devours a tiger; the star which brightens the earth; the slave who builds a pyramid. I will build my castle one brick at a time for I know that small attempts, repeated, will complete any undertaking.

When I was young,my homesickness was a small stamp,I was here,my mother was there.After growing up,my homesickness was a narrow ticket,I was here,my bride was there.Later,my homesickness was a little tomb,I was outside,my mother was inside.And now,my homesickness is a shallow strait,I am here,the mainland is there.

In the beginning I was a shy fairy,I lived in a tree and my name was Mary.I ate a bad apple, it was old and hairy,My face went green and I became scary.Next in the story things got so bad,I scared a silly princess and made her sad.She said my teeth were dirty and my eyes were mad,So I pulled her hair and she told her dad.
This watch really makes me sad,It looks too old, it looks so bad!I can’t stand the color gray,I’d like to throw this watch away. This button really makes me frown,It looks like something for a clown.Sparkly things make my eyes hurt,I want to take it off my shirt. This chain could be good enough,It goes well with all my stuff.I like shiny, colored things,I could buy some matching rings!
Two thousand years ago, Rome was the biggest city in the world. Life in Ancient Rome was different from Rome today. But was the food different too?Roman FoodRomans usually ate bread, cheese, eggs, vegetables, fruit and nuts. They also ate meat, like chicken and fish, but not very much. They used lots of honey and vinegar when cooking because they liked sweet and sour foods. Most food was boiled or fried, but sometimes they grilled sausages. So ancient Romans ate similar things to modern Romans. However, they didn’t have tomatoes or ice cream, and they often ate with their fingers. Also, carrots weren’t orange in Ancient Rome; they were purple!

Once upon a time in old London, there was a missing egg. The egg was very important because it belonged to the Queen. It was made from gold and was very expensive. A villain named Bubba took the egg. Nobody knew why or what he looked like. The Queen didn’t care – she just wanted the egg back! First the Queen paid two detectives to find the missing egg. The fox, called Freddy, was a tall, slim, talkative fox with wavy hair. His partner, Chris the chicken, was very different; he was short and very shy. They both worked together to solve mysteries. Freddy and Chris went to try to find the egg. They looked for it all over London but couldn’t find it! Then they started to ask people if they’d seen the egg. Only one small dog saw who took the egg. The dog saw a big man take the egg and go down the river in a boat.

Sometimes, when Mo is cooking, he thinks about the jobs he did before. And sometimes, Mo thinks about the day when he was a hairdresser. That day, everything went wrong. The first customer was a man. He was very tired, and fell asleep while Mo was cutting his hair. Suddenly, the phone rang. Mo started talking on the phone, but didn’t stop cutting the man’s hair … When Mo finished talking, he looked at the man’s head – all his hair was gone Mo quickly found a wig and put it on the man’s head. The man woke up and looked in the mirror. He loved his new haircut. Then the wind blew the wig away! After that, a woman came in and asked Mo to wash her hair. She sat down, and he started working. Last year, my school held a talent show in the hall. We all had to give a performance, like singing, dancing or playing music. I’m not very good at those, so I decided to perform some magic. I’m very interested in magic and I know some cool tricks, like pulling a rabbit from a hat, guessing a mystery card and so on. I really wanted to learn a new trick – making somebody disappear. It’s a difficult trick, but I was determined to try. I failed so many times that I got frustrated, but I didn’t give up. “I will learn this trick!” I said. I became exhausted from practising so much, but I did it.
This year, the Puzzle Springs Cook-Off at Mo’s Diner was really exciting. Each person had only twenty minutes to make one dish, and Jones decided the winner. Before the cooking started, everyone talked about what they were going to make. Clarence said, “I’m going to bake banana bread in the oven. I need bananas, sugar, eggs and flour.”“I’m going to fry some fish,” said Elise. “You sprinkle on some salt and pepper, then add some lemon juice.” Tom said, “Cheesy chicken! It’s just cheese on top of chicken. You grill it on the barbecue.”“I’m going to make a vegetable curry,” said Clora. “I’ll use lots ofchili peppers to make it spicy.”
It is the pang of separation that spreads throughoutThe world and gives birth to shapes innumetableIn the infinite sky.It is this sorrow of separation that gazesIn silence all nights from star to star,And becomes lyric among rustling leavesIn rainy darkness of July.It is this overspreading pain thatDeepens into loves and desires,Into sufferings and joy in human homes; And this it is that ever melts andFlows in songs through my poet’s heart.
There’s a small, yellow alienFlying through space. He has big, round earsAnd a funny, long face. He’s from a blue planetWith a little, gray moon,Where it’s sunny at midnightAnd dark at noon. There’s a short, fat alienLiving far away,On a wet, white planetWhere it’s cold every day.
