What began as a traditional talk show in 1991 covering current events, The Jerry Springer Show quickly became a racy and explicit tabloid talk show featuring controversial guests such as Ku Klux Klan members and mistresses wanting to air out their dirty laundry on national tv. The show often turned into something similar to what you’d see during a WWE match with guests getting into physical altercations, which only boosted the show’s ratings.
