Cassidy Waring is a soulful singer-songwriter whose music carries warmth, wit, and raw honesty. Originally from Calgary and now based in East Vancouver, she has spent years using her art to understand the lasting impact of childhood trauma and, more recently, a diagnosis of Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. When Cassidy was 12, her family life was shattered by alcohol addiction, abuse, and domestic violence, culminating in the sudden death of her mother. As an adult, she has struggled with panic, substance use, and emotional upheaval, experiences that her diagnosis has helped contextualize. In this impactful documentary, Cassidy returns to Calgary with her younger brother, Cooper, to confront their shared past.
