This type of measurement is somewhat unique in that it requires a high degree of patient understanding and cooperation.</p><p><strong>When were the ATS/ERS guidelines last updated?</strong></p><p>Spirometry standards were first published 40 years ago, and updated approximately every 10-15 years since.
