Eventually, a vicious assault led to his arrest and a 12-year prison sentence. But the nightmare didn't end there. Even from behind bars, he found ways to torment them with threats—and chilling confessions that he was a serial killer. The weight of that trauma pushed Hyde into isolation as a teenager. But in time, she transformed her pain into purpose.
