<p>In Mary Ann's 33 years of life, she has faced anorexia, a near-death infection, institutional abuse, and the trauma of amputation, but she has found purpose in nourishing her body and sharing her testimony. Mary Ann has been carnivore since 2018 and rededicated her life to Jesus in 2022 during a hospital stay, and those two decisions have strengthened her physical body and saved her soul. </p> <p>Mary Ann grew up in a household run by two doctors who didn't allow her to eat red meat, and followed every "heart healthy" dietary lie being perpetrated by the government in the early nineties. She became fixated around her weight and food intake as a way of regaining control in a chaotic household and developed an eating disorder that only going carnivore could cure.</p> <p>In 2022, bacteria from a hot tub entered an open cut in her leg and the resulting infection caused her to go septic.
