<p>Paul Theroux joins Deborah Treisman to read and discuss “<a href="https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/1958/02/15/the-necklace"><strong>The Necklace</strong></a>,” by V. S. Pritchett, which was published in <em>The New Yorker</em> in 1958.
