<div>During the 1920s, The Big Easy was home to some of the most notorious members of the New Orleans Underworld, including Silvestro “Silver Dollar Sam” Carollo. A mafioso whose life is shrouded in legend and mystery. As a member of Charles Matranga’s Black Hand gang, Carollo was quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with. Eventually surpassing Matranga as New Orleans “top dog.” But Carollo’s luck would soon run out. <br>
